Climbing in Catalunya.
We started the trip in Barcelona, travelling north, through Siurana and on towards the Terradets area. We stayed in the hostel at Cellers and got inspired by the super steep Bruxes – most of it too hard for most of us but great to see and, if you’re strong enough, ideal for the wet weather we were having.
Heading back south to Barcelona, the weather improved and we enjoyed a super day out at Montserrat. Johnny, Daniella, Kerry and I climbed an amazing line called Badalona. The conglomerate rock is great fun to climb and you are spoilt for choice with so many handholds and footholds on this great 200m route. To add to the exciting exposure, the bolts are quite old with some long runouts between them!
