Courses and Adventures in Winter Climbing and Winter Mountaineering

Winter Climbing

Feel the satisfying thud of your ice tools and crampons embedding into solid ice or carefully hook, torque and place them on the rock of mixed climbs. Winter climbing in Britain offers a diverse range of climbing styles, from snow gullies to steep ice and mixed climbing in conditions that can be as changeable and harsh as anything to be found in the Alps.

You can enjoy learning to move confidently on steep ground as we guide you up some classic winter routes and you can expand your experience to find and assess protection, construct belays, manage multi-pitch climbs, retreat safely from routes, develop your avalanche awareness and progress your navigation skills to cope with the more demanding winter environment.
