Winter Mountaineering 2018

Five days of winter mountaineering adventures on routes from grade I to III with just two clients to one instructor. We guide you and coach you to move well on ice, rock and snow with  ice axes and crampons. You can also practice new rope techniques, build safe winter anchors, develop good avalanche awareness and improve your navigation skills.

Dates: 27th January – 3rd February    24th February – 3rd March    24th – 31st March

Cost: £800 including food, accommodation and transport.

Location: Based in Glen Coe, near Ben Nevis and The Cairngorms.

Accommodation: A warm, comfortable chalet with an open fire in Glen Coe.

Transport: Catch the bus or drive to Glencoe. Then we’ll drive you around for the week.

Ability: Some previous experience of winter walking and/or rock climbing is useful but not essential.

Equipment: You bring waterproofs, warm clothing, winter mountain boots and rucksack. We supply ice axes and crampons.
