We are blessed with the great variety of hill walking, mountaineering and rock climbing available to us in Britain. The mountains of Scotland, The Lake District and North Wales offer a wealth of walking and climbing in beautiful locations that make your heart sing, whilst Yorkshire and the Peak District are strewn with rough gritstone edges, stretching along wide-open expanses of moorland under big skies that make your spirit soar.
Mountains and moorland aside, the north of England also enjoys a great collection of impressively steep limestone crags and quarries in Lancashire, the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District, whilst Scotland, Wales and the south-west of England have beautiful coastlines with awe-inspiring sea cliff climbing and, in the south-east of England, the Southern Sandstone is a unique and challenging rock climbing venue with a wide variety of climbing moves and styles within an hour of London.
